In early december FXOpen, a major forex trading company, announced their intention to own and manage a competitive StarCraft II professional team. This most recent branch of FXOpen, dubbed \"FXOpen e-Sports\", was formed not only to host and sponsor major SC2 events, but to support a competitive team with a view to furthering e-Sports.

Being based in Sydney at the FXOceania division of the company, Josh \"FXOBoSs\" Dentrinos sourced a signification portion of the team locally from the SEA/Oceania StarCraft scene. Initial pick-ups included mOOnGLaDe, Sheth, OpTiKzErO and eventually Filthy for the competitive team, and management was similarly Australian flavoured with Daniel \"Unstable\" Siddel joining team management and Brendan \"deL\" Ferguson and Marc \"frequency\" Onofrio co-ordinating FXOpen e-Sports Events Management.

Since then the team has grown to a full 10 members.
