A complete guide for potential and current team managers
Why join Team Razer?
You’ve probably been directed here by one of our Team Managers or E-Sports Specialists to give you an idea of the things Razer can offer its sponsored teams above and beyond other companies. This is a rough outline of the basic deliverables we can provide and expect – it’s not a fully comprehensive list and each team or organization will be entitled to more, or less, than these deliverables.
How does Team Razer help you?
Full Product Sponsorship
Being part of Team Razer entitles your teams to full product sponsorship, meaning they’ll get to use the world’s most competitive gaming hardware. This does mean, however, we’ll ask complete exclusivity across every peripheral – keyboard, headset, mouse and mouse mat. Exact product amounts and selection will be based on each individual negotiation.
Cash Sponsorship
If your teams are up to scratch, you could be looking at cash support in order to help your team reach its full potential. Please note: we rarely grant cash sponsorships from the get-go and in the best case scenario, we’ll reevaluate cash sponsorship after a 6 month period.
Brand Marketing
We pride ourselves in the extensive reach of our Facebook pages (Razer Facebook – 2.1million likes), especially our e-Sports dedicated Team Razer page (95,000 likes) which offers you a channel – direct to e-Sports fans – to market your team. We’ll help you just as we do for any other member of Team Razer to promote your brand here, be that team results, interviews, product reviews or other relevant e-Sports news.
Product Validation Program
We make the best gaming peripherals in the world, and your feedback is crucial to that. Being part of Team Razer gives you the chance to actively participate in this process, get a feel for the industry and how our products are made and have a direct impact on their result. This can also be used as valuable work experience for your players.
Management Training and Expertise
We work closely with each and every one of our teams to maximize their potential. Running an organization is never easy, especially at the highest level of competition. We’ve managed e-Sports’ most successful and famous teams, giving us the knowledge and expertise you need to grow and succeed as they did. Team Razer Benefit Scheme
Outside the above, Team Razer members are entitled to a special benefit scheme which consists of a number of perks available to your players only. This ranges from unique Razer professional gear such as our Champion Jacket, Gear Bag and Cap to discounts on products and access to new game title betas.
What do we ask from you?
Exclusivity
As detailed above, there is no exception to this, even for one or two peripherals. We believe our products are the only products your players need to be their best, and so we ask that every player in every team use Razer peripherals from head to toe.
Product Knowledge and Marketing
Some of your more trusted players may be asked to take part in (local) marketing activities, especially on a local level. That would consist of attending events with Razer, or running online promotions themselves. This more generally consists of: knowing their products back to front; participating in online product reviews or unboxing videos; booth activities for Razer at foreign events.
Stable, Consistent Lineups
Maintaining an organization isn’t easy, especially with the coming and going of new and old players. We do ask that you feature or know how to nurture stable, competitive lineups who perform consistently at the highest level. These teams will be continuously monitored by us at Razer and we expect the highest level of performance always.
Content Contribution
Your players know their games better than anyone out there, and we’ll ask from time-to-time that they can contribute to official Razer content and be featured as a quality contributor. This will often mean: contributing to the Razer Academy; creating guides or snippets for social media.
