"I feel honored to join Team Dignitas. I'm going to live in England full-time and play a lot of both online and offline tournaments. Additionally, I would like to thank Odee, who accepted me gladly, and SeleCT, who recommended me and gave a lot of help during the contract process. Also I want to thank the ZeNEX manager Yoon who looked into relevant information.I will do my best to help Team Dignitas be a more powerful team."
The Swedish newspaper NorraSkane has published an article about Team Dignitas Protoss Johan 'NaNiwa' Lucchesi. As most of you know, NaNiwa will be heading over to Korea very soon, and so the people from NorraSkane wanted to have a last chat with him before he departs.
They talk about his breakthrough aswell as what it requires to stay at the highest level. NaNiwa explains that by training with Korean players he hopes to be able to adapt to their style and improve his own game aswell.
The (Swedish) article can be found here, but it can be translated by using Chrome or an online translator.
Most people have already been speculating about it, but now it is official, Team Dignitas is venturing into Brink! After trying out the game for several weeks we have now found a stable lineup to represent us in this new shooter game.
A few weeks ago three players of our Enemy Territory squad started playing Brink, together with an old friend Bjorn 'Bjorn' Rombaut and a new face, Jesper 'Rulah' Sundell. They instantly made an impression by qualifying for Assembly Summer 2011 and after that they won the Brink Championship European Qualifier, claiming the first place in Brinkish.eu's Top10 ranking at the same time.
The lineup will now officially be representing us in Brink. They have set target on winning both the Assembly LAN aswell as the Brink Championship, which holds a €15,000 prize pot. Please give the squad a warm welcome, especially the two new players!
Statement of, Jesper 'Rulah' Sundell: "I'm very happy to be a given a chance to represent Team Dignitas in all upcoming Brink tournaments. Together with the backing from Team Dignitas and the talented lineup we boast, I am sure we will fulfill our goals."
Bjorn 'Bjorn' Rombaut: "Having won a lot of titles with these players I hope to repeat previous success in upcoming BRINK competitions. I would like to thank Team Dignitas and especially ODEE for the continuing support and trust in us."
We would like to welcome back a very good friend of the team as Jaka 'JaKaZc' Kejzar is rejoining our Enemy Territory squad. Jaka has already represented the Team Dignitas brand several times, the last time being at Antwerp Esports Festival in the summer of 2010.
The team parted ways with Oula 'olBaa' Räsänen and it was an easy choice for them to get Jaka back in the team, making almost the same lineup that won AEF for us. Next up for the team will be the SAGE Lan in Enschede, on July 1st. We would like to welcome back Jaka!
This weekend Team Dignitas FIFA player Francisco 'Quinzas' Cruz attended the Polish edition of the FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC). The event was being held at Warsaw, Poland, and was one of the last chances for players to grab a spot for the FIWC Grand Final. The latter will take place in Los Angeles, USA, in exactly three weeks time and will have a prize pot of $20,000!
Only dropping a single game throughout two group stages and the playoffs, Quinzas managed to come out victorious and thus qualify for the FIFA Interactive World Cup Finals in L.A.!
The GosuCoaching Premiere League had a great regular season with Team Liquid, Evil Geniuses, Fnatic and Team Dignitas ending up in the playoffs. Now the time has come to duke it out in the Semi Finals, while fnatic and Team Liquid determine the first finalist, we take on Evil Geniuses tonight at 20:00 CET. A $7.000 prize for the winning teams is what drives all these players to play their very best.
Update: After the teams where tied up at 2-2 in games our Swedish Protoss NaNiwa did manage to win the ACE vs. IdrA 2-1 and take home the match!
GosuCoaching Premiere League - Semi Final
Team Dignitas vs. Team EG Saturday 12th March 20:00 CET

Sixth playday of Russian ProLeague was successful for RoX.KIS StarCraft 2 squad as they managed to win againts Webmex team with a solid 4:1 score. In the next round of RPL team Rox.Kis faced strong enemies from Empire and unfortunately lost with a close 3:4 score.
RoX.KIS Point Blank squad headed to South Korea where the Point Blank World Championship was held on February 28. Rox.Kis won the national qualifier and got a chance to prove themselves on an international level. Unfortunately, the team wasn't able to garner enough wins in the groupstage to qualify further.
The CIS championship ASUS Winter Cup 2011 was played online on February 26 and was attended by three RoX.KIS players. All of them were able to pass the group stage which consisted of the best Russian and Ukrainian players. Andrey "LiveZerg" Guldyashov and Pavel "BRAT_OK" Kuznetsov were knocked out in the quarterfinals as Aleksey "Abver" Drunin made it to the semifinal but was stopped by mTw.Dimaga. In the match for 3rd place Abver beat Empire.kas and got himself a bronze medal.
The GosuCoaching Premiere League was not the best possible tournament for mousesports, as our SC2 division was not able to qualify for the playoffs of the first season. So the final game vs. US American team VT Gaming on Saturday was not more than a friendly practice session, as both teams weren't able to qualify for the playoffs anymore before the match. As a result, we've lined up our new two young talents Syck and Lomo, so they could gain some experience in team matches and on the NA realm.
While Lomo had technical difficulties with his NA client, Syck did well against Future on Lost Temple, also HasuObs won his game, which grants him a perfect 5-0 record in GCPL #1, while Dreiven lost his match. Therefore Strelok went into the ace match against Pokebunny to secure a 3:2 victory over VT Gaming.
Just like on every other Sunday, it was once again time for battle in the ESL Amateur Series 1st division. Our German SC2 player Michael "GhosTa" Beck kicked off his season fairly well, winning 2-0 against optik in week one. For week two the challenge was much harder: Former EPS WC3 champion Daniel "XlorD" Spenst would face the mousesports player in week two. With XlorD becoming better and better with Zerg, the favorite for the matchup won convincingly over GhosTa with 2-0.
After GhosTa lost, the mousesports Counter-Strike: Source team played against bomk in their week two matchup. The mousesports Counter-Strike: Source team is one of the major favorites to win the EAS and qualify for the upcoming ESL Pro Series. In yesterdays matchup they've won against bomk with a final scoreline of 16:9
The Millenium StarCraft 2 tournament came to an end this weekend, with MaNa beating Strelok in the semifinals. Strelok who recovered from a disease last week didn't seem to be quite in shape, as MaNa took home the victory and moved to the Grand Final to face French WarCraft 3 legend ToD, where he lost in a PvP.
Our Zerg player Stefan "MorroW" Andersson recently finished 2nd at Assembly Winter 2011 and on Sunday he was able to enter another Grand Final, this time in the sc2tv.ru Invite tournament. After beating the Terran players Strelok and GoOdy in the first two rounds, it was once more a Zerg player who gave MorroW a tough challenge: DIMAGA who played very well throughout the whole weekend and already won the ASUS Winter 2011 one day earlier, took one map from the Swede, who striked back to win the series 2-1 over DIMAGA.
With DIMAGA fighting his way through the lower bracket against TLO, the Grand Final saw MorroW facing DIMAGA for a second time. When it came down to the deciding games, MorroW struggled again in a ZvZ, as he already lost a ZvZ Grand Final at Assembly Winter 2011 against Dutch player Ret and lost with 2-3. Overall MorroW seems more than ready for the IEM World Championship next week at CeBIT convention in Hannover, Germany; however he still need to work a bit on his ZvZ for the duels of the rivals - MorroW vs. IdrA.
The ASUS Winter 2011 tournament was held in Kiev, Ukraine at the CyberArena for the first time. In the StarCraft 2 tournament it came down to a Ukrainian showdown, when our player Strelok faced his compatriot DIMAGA in the Grand Final With DIMAGA beeing in top shape this weekend, it was a tough match for Strelok and his Terran forces, which he couldn't win in the end. Russian player Abver finished the tournament on 3rd place.
The mousesports Counter-Strike: Source team kicked off their schedule for the ESL Amateur Series Summer 2011 with the plan to qualify for the ESL Pro Series Winter 2011. In the first week, mousesports faced EnRo Griffins on de_tuscan. With the team being in good shape, mousesports was able to pull out a 16:10 victory over EnRo Griffins to collect the first points in this EAS season.
Our Ukrainian StarCraft 2 player Strelok mastered the ZOTAC Cup #44 close to perfection: In a thrilling Grand Final he faced Polish player Nerchio from team aAa for the overall win, forcing his opponent to ragequit after heavy pressure by Strelok's drops. This marks another weekly cup triumph for Strelok aswell as a prizemoney of 100 Euros for the Ukrainian player.
The mousesports StarCraft 2 division is out of GosuCoaching Premiere League team league season one, by falling short to Evil Geniuses yesterday. With MorroW and MaNa losing early on in the match, it was all up to Strelok in the third game to take on IdrA one of the world's best Zerg players on Scrap Station. With a 0-2 in mind, it was a tough match for our Ukrainian player who had a lot of pressure on his shoulders, but he actually pulled out a victory over IdrA, handing over the playing opportunity to HasuObs. The German player, who haven't lost a single matchup in this GCPL season, showed once again that the former WC3 champion is a solid pick for every team game, winning his match against iNcontroL, to tie the game at 2-2. In the acematch, Strelok wasn't able to perform as best as possible against EG Protoss player Axslav and lost 0-2. With another 2-3 loss, mousesports has no chance to reach the playoffs, even if they win their last match against VT Gaming.
IEM European Champion Anton "Cooller" Singov went once again to yet another ASUS tournament. The ASUS Winter 2011 was held at CyberSport Arena in Kiev, Ukraine, but the Quake Live tournament was only played online. With both two of Europes finest Quake Live players Cooller and Cypher attending, everyone expected a duel between both in the Grand Final.
But the upset came in the semifinals, where Cypher lost 1-2 to Russian player agent, while Cooller won with 2-0 against Amai. In the 3rd place decider match, Cypher lost again, this time 1-2 to Amai to only place 4th, with Cooller and agent battling it out in the Grand Final. On five thrilling maps it was agent who won the last and deciding map "Furious Heights" over Cooller to become the ASUS Winter 2011 Champion.
On Saturday there was another TSL Open tournament, offering prizemoney as well as qualification points and a direct qualification spot for the upcoming Team Liquid Star League season 3. With a lot of mousesports players attending it was MorroW who fought his way all through to the Grand Final, to face Romanian player NightEnD. On his way he managed to take out Lomo, Socke, Beastyqt and other players, but NightEnD was just too tough for MorroW on this Saturday.
His 2nd place finish grants him a total of 100 points, which boosts him on a tied 2nd place in the points ranking with Ciara from ieS Virtual Gaming. Also Strelok is in the qualifying range, sitting on 8th rank with 103 points, 24 points ahead of French player Stephano. With only one TSL Open remaining, MorroW ist most likely going to qualify for TSL3, while Strelok and MaNa are still fighting for their qualification spot.
The talent scout tournament of Mousesports have yielded results as the German Pro-Gaming Team have recruited 2 new StarCraft 2 players to add to their roster. Patrick "Lomo" van Rossum is a 16-year-old German Terran Terran player, the winner of the SC2 Scout Tournament. The other player, Duc "Syck" Pham Trung is a 17-year-old Zerg player who placed 3rd in the tournament. Their skill level shows a lot of potential and with proper guidance from Mousesports, the team believes that these two can evolve into star-players.
Mike "EL_Matador" Linden, Mousesports' premiere Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 pro-gamer has won in the recent KONAMI PES league. This marks his 4th consecutive tournament win, his current career record. The all-time record holder is fellow Mousesports' teammate, Dennis "mouz|wiDe" Winkler, holding 7 tournament victories in one season alone. EL_Matador's record currently makes him the undisputed KONAMI PES tournament leader.
The matchups for the second round of the ESL Pro Series have been announced today. The CS 1.6 team of Mousesports willl fave Team Hardware4u, SC2 Players "HasuObs" will take on Mardow, and GhosTA of Mousesports will take on German EPS Champion, Socke. The Counter-Strike: Source team is also participating and will be fighting with logiX e.V.
The ESL Pro Series is once again live as it starts out its 18th season and it has been a good week for Mousesports' players. The EPS Summer 2011 started out with a remarkable 16: 8 victory of the CS 1.6 of Mousesports. Shortly after, SC2 Players "HasuObs" won his first match with a 2:0 record. The challenge for the SC2 player though becomes even tougher as his win makes him eligible to to compete in arguably the toughest group of EPS Summer 2011.
Grzegorz "Mana" Komincz ended in 2nd place as he lost 2-1, to an opponent with a superb Micro style of game play. Mana's Protoss gameplay though, enabled him to garner enough points to qualify for the Go4SC2 Monthly Final.
Dennis "HasuObs" Schneider, an elite SC2 player, won the 4Players Cup last weekend. The tournament was also attended by high-profile SC2 players, proving that HasuObs' win was no cake-walk. His use of Protoss won him the tournament 2:1 and he also won 150 Euros.
Stefan "Morrow" Anderson won the ESL Go4SC2 #79 Tournament last weekend. The final tournament record was 3-2 in favor of MorroW.
MorroW will also participate in the upcoming Winter Assembly 2011 and fight in StarCraft 2. He will bring along with him, his newly found technique in the Zerg.
The past weekend was full of challenges as Alexander "Insolence" Hein battled it out with the top players of StarCraft 2 in order to finish 2nd at the Craft Cup King of the Month Tournament. Insolence also ended in 3rd in the fnatic Play tour.
On the second day of the new year SeriousRazer's QuakeLive star Maciej 'Av3k' Krzykowski had the perfect start of 2011, beating fnatic's Kevin 'strenx' Baeza 3-1 in the final to win the ZOTAC QuakeLive Cup #64.
Av3k played solid throughout the tournament and reached the final without giving up a map. Strenx on the other hand had enough problems on his hand and even needed the help of fire_bot to make it into the final. Taking strenx's online reputation into consideration and the fact Av3k lost twice versus strenx during the last Dreamhack event, Av3k went into the final as the underdog.
Not impressed by the recent past, Av3k had a very strong start taking home the first two maps (Aerowalk 15-0, Lost World 8-3) to lose the third map 11-3 on Furious Heights. On the fourth map, Dismemberment, Av3k took an early lead to finish the map with a 10-7 final score and a 3-1 overall win in the 64th episode of the ZOTAC QuakeLive Cup. For Av3k it was his fourth ZOTAC victory.
StarCraft 2 player and DreamHack 2010 runner-up Grzegorz "MaNa" Komincz from Poland has won the XMG Cup Series tournament #3 on Wednesday evening. The tournament is hosted by ESL and ESL TV moderator Dennis "TaKe" Gehlen for German Notebook manufacturer XMG Schenker Notebooks.
In a series of four tournaments in total, all European SC2 players are able to qualify for the Grand Final by winning at least one out of the four tour stops online. With MaNa winning the third stop 3-1, he managed to qualify for the Grand Final held at CeBIT convention in March 2011 in Hannover, Germany.
He is already the second Mousesports player who qualified, since Dennis "HasuObs" Schneider got his Grand Final ticket right in the very first XMG Cup Series tournament #1 straight away.
Mousesports has announced that a new lineup of their Counter Strike: Source team will be in play. The new players that will populate the CS: Source lineup of Mousesports is as follows:
-Nico "sYrox" Scott
-Patrick "mEiJin" Kriebus
-Adrian "vINCE R." Kohi
-Christian "Igor" Meyer
The players are avid competitors in the ESL Pro Series and with this, Mousesports believe that their new lineup will not only qualify for the ESL Pro Series, but also win the prestigious tournament.
Last January 17, 2011, Anton "Cooller" Singov won the ZOTAC Grand Finals, proving once more that he still competes in a championship level and performance.
Anton "Cooller" Singov is now Europe's best Quake Live player as he became the Champion of the recently concluded Intel Extreme Masters European Championships in Ukraine. Fighting in a star-studded Quake Live division, Cooller bested all of Europe's finest, leaving no doubt of his worthiness as a champion. His impressive run during the tournament also silenced doubters who believed that players who "get older" can't play Quake. Not only can he still play, but he can still dominate.
The win is Cooller's first major tournament victory of Cooller since Quake became Live. Cooller believes that this is the start of his long reign as the champion, not only of Europe, but of the whole Quake Live community.
His win also qualifies him to take part of the IEM World Championship in Hannover, Germany. He will be joining 3 other members of Team Razer namely Cypher, Av3k and fazz, all of which also qualified for the IEM.
