Welmu joins to Team Empire
24th Nov 2011

Champion of WCG Finland 2011 in StarCraft II - Vesa "Welmu" Hovinen joined to Team Empire. He became 4th player of Empire StarCraft II squad who will represent own country at WCG 2011 Grand Final in South Korea. Welmu is a great addition to terran-heavy roster of Team Empire.

Alexander "StrangeR" Solomonov – HR manager of Team Empire:

"For a long time Empire has had problems with strong toss player. There was not so many free good toss players and those transfer looks pretty perfect for us. Welmu is young talented player from Finland and we feel his potential. Despite the fact that he spends much time for studying in school, he won WCG Finland 2011 where in final he won Acer.Elfi. In upcoming time Welmu can play much more into sc2 and show his high level. The first event for him under Empire tag will be WCG 2011 in Korea. In name of Team Empire I wish him good luck and big victories!"

Vesa "Welmu" Hovinen – player of Empire.sc2:

"I decided to join Team Empire after I was contacted, because I saw it as a new opportunity for me to improve and get to the next level. Team Empire is very well organized team and it has very good reputation with combination of skillful players and bright future. I’m planning to particate in more tournaments and get even better results than before. I don't want to be known only for high ladder rankings. My next LAN will be WCG so cheer for me playing under Empire's tag. I’m also about to start streaming very soon, so you can see me playing in first-person action at EmpireTV."
